Here I am glad to present another free icon set of 16 flags. Initially, this set of icons are designed for website language setting. As there are about 20 commonly used languages, I chose 16 for this set. It is suitable for many web applications which need different language settings like hotel booking, travel agency, online shopping, etc. A few example for using these icon are given below in the preview image.
The icon set includes 16 flags in two differenct style, normal style and rotated style. Raster icons are in three different sizes (32 pixels, 64 pixels and 128 pixels) and in 32-bit transparent PNG format. Also the vector source file is included in the free set (Adobe Illustrator CS4 AI format). The set is completely free for both personal and commercial use. Resell is not allowed. If you want to refer this to your friends or clients, please link them into this page so that they can download the icon set from here. There will be more flag icons in the same styles coming in the future. Please check our website regularly or subscribe to our RSS feeds for any updates.
The download link can be found in the bottom.

I agree with Dodwell – please do the Aussie Flag (and I’ll request the NZ one for our buddies across the sea). Personally I’d love to see the UN flag as part of this set.
Great job!

Excellent set of images; I would like to use the AI file as a template to add some other flags for my own use, but can’t see how to do so, as there only appears to be a single layer (I haven’t got access to Adobe Illustrator, so perhaps that’s the reason). Any chance of something like a layered PSD template for Photoshop/Paint Shop Pro use?
May 14th, 2010 at 12:39
Hi Thanks for the comment, I will try to produce a PSD file with layers for this asap.

Jack, that would be great – you seem to be using some rather subtle shading effects over the flag itself, and it would be nice to be able to ‘drop’ a rectangular flag image straight into a template comprising all the shading and the drop shadow.
