Windows 8 is the next version of Microsoft Windows, which will be used on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, netbooks, tablet PCs, servers, and media center PCs. Microsoft unveiled new Windows 8 features and improvements on September 13, 2011, day one of the BUILD developer conference. Windows 8 will contain a new user interface based on Microsoft’s design language named Metro. With the new change, the Start Menu was replaced in favor for the new Start Screen, where there are tiles that contain shortcuts to applications, Metro style applications, and updating tiles, similar to Windows Phone.
The special UI design actually inspired me to create this web design. It is clean and informative with the tiles. Therefore it is quite suitable for WordPress site because on a homepage a summary can be display with featured articles and photo gallery, etc.
This is the web design example based this Windows 8 tiles UI. Click the button below to see the real HTML demo

We welcome any comments and discussion on this design and we are aiming to make a WordPress theme based on this too in the future.

Looks great as a home page, but what would a blog post page look like?

I like Windows 7. Generally, if one version of windows is good, then the next is not, vice versa.
But this time, I am pretty sure that Windows 8 will be very good!
Lets wait and see…

As long as they are trying for new stuff, it’s good attitude as people like new stuff. We will find out if they are good enough. To me it combines simplicity and information.

The paragon of undestardning these issues is right here!

This is only an example, however you can download the html code by simple saving the html and css. We will design and develop more of these in the future. Thanks

Es un reproductor para ver demos de Call of Duty 4.
En él puedes ocultar el HUD, utilizar el slowmo (movimientos lentos), congelar imágenes… recordar guardar vuestra config aparte para luego jugar ESL y que el Aequitas no diga nada

Love the home page you’re right it is very Windows 8 and a great concept. The sub/ blog page loses a little in translation though but not too sure.
Thoughts: Would it be too busy if you reduced the icons and maintained the overall theme by having smaller boxes beneath the sunflower icon for the parts that you do want? I think that might maintain the theme and keep it consistant. At the moment, am not quite sure but feel that it is missing just a little something.
But am probably being a peditent as to be fair it is a great home page, and the sub page stands well on its own.
Love the creative flair though, keep it up please
