Social Media Balloon Update: Google+ Icon

We are here to present this update to our popular, most downloaded icon set “Social Media Balloon”: Google Plus icons. These are requested by our visitors, as well as we would like to provide the social media icons of this new but popular social networking platform. In this particular update, only Google+ icons are included. There are two versions presented in this update, in both black and white backgrounds. It has been integrated into the social media balloon icon set. Just download the pack and you will get the updated PNG icon files in different resolutions i.e. from 32px to 128px.

A Web Design Inspired by Windows 8 UI

Windows 8 is the next version of Microsoft Windows, which will be used on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, netbooks, tablet PCs, servers, and media center PCs. Microsoft unveiled new Windows 8 features and improvements on September 13, 2011, day one of the BUILD developer conference. Windows 8 will contain a new user interface based on Microsoft’s design language named Metro. With the new change, the Start Menu was replaced in favor for the new Start Screen, where there are tiles that contain shortcuts to applications, Metro style applications, and updating tiles, similar to Windows Phone.

The special UI design actually inspired me to create this web design. It is clean and informative with the tiles. Therefore it is quite suitable for WordPress site because on a homepage a summary can be display with featured articles and photo gallery, etc.

Free Icons: Super Mono 3D Part 2

It was a surprise to me that many people voted Super Mono 3D in the free giveaway contest we launched a few days ago. The free icon set included only half of the original Super Mono Icons. Here the other half is released. This updated the Super Mono 3D icon set in to a bigger set which includes 192 icons in simple 3D style. Button Fest – A Collection of Free Web Buttons

We are very pleased to release this collection of web UI elements – Button Fest. This collection of web buttons includes a number of creative designs of the combination of icons and buttons. It also provides a few fancy finishes like glass effect, metallic effect, etc. The buttons are produced in Adobe Illustrator CS5 which means all the downloads are fully editable vector graphics. We also made a demo HTML page with CSS style sheet. The collection can be used for FREE under our free license agreement, and it is also available for commercial usage under standard and extended license agreement.

The buttons are perfect for attracting visitors in such situation like Download, Purchase, Free Trial, etc. Also the small size of buttons can be used as toolbar elements which has been demonstrated in our demo page.

16 Free Sketch Icons

Sketchy Icons was one of our popular designs, however those icons are drawn in normal vector method and then were converted into sketch style using some filter and effect in Illustrator. Here we are very glad to introduce a set of 16 free icons named “Handy” truly drawn by hand using a pen tablet. The icons have been published on Icondock It provides a rich pencil sketch feel and will be perfect for websites or designs using sketchy style. The set includes 16 free icons in two different color schemes (black/white and colored) and it is licensed under CC 3.0 Attribution license. You can use them for free in your personal or commercial project but an attribution to the author (Double-J Design) is required. It is not allowed to use them in any kind of integration in a product that is for sale.

Blueprint Adobe Free Icons

Adobe applications and files are commonly used in design and development website. Here we are very pleased to introduce a set of new free Adobe Application and File icons in a blueprint sketch style. The icons are free for personal and commercial use under the agreement of our free license. It can be used royalty free by puchasing the related licenses.

The icons come in transparent PNG format and sizes are from 64px upto 256px. Here we also included some sample usage to provide a preview that how these icons are looking in a website or an application. A full preview is attached as well. New Look, New Feel!

Welcome to the brand new site of Double-J Design. We have redesigned our site to better present our works. We are still focusing on producing original design of icon set in various of styles and more importantly bring them to you for free as always.

This time, the redesign included a number of changes to our site. We are still using WordPress as our platform but by using WordPress eCommerce plugin, our designs and products can be better presented and well organised. Also, it makes the purchase of royalty free license and extended license much easier. We are starting to expand our works from only Icons to other areas e.g. Themes, UI Elements.

Again, thank you very much for your visit and your interest in our designs. We will continue to make free web design resources for you. Hopefully our design can enhance the appearance and experience of your website. I will introduce some changes to the new site shortly after.

Shiny Icon Set is one of our popular designs. It was released as a set of 16 free icons. Many users was wondering if there will be a full set of this style and here we go. The set has been extended into a full set including 148 vector and raster icons in various formats and sizes. It is now available on Icondock.

The Shiny collection includes 148 beautiful icons designed with pastel colors and a subtle touch of overlaying gloss. It is a perfect match for designs with light color themes. Childish Icon Set on WDD

The icon set Childish designed by me has been released on WebDesignerDepot. This is the first icon set that I have done in Adobe Illustrator CS5. With the new features in AI CS5, this style can be drawn very easily. I will provide a tutorial of how to draw this in AI CS5 shortly. However, please enjoy the free give away again at WDD.

This is a set of 60 exclusive free icons that we call “Childish”. As the name implies, these are ideal for children’s websites or for websites that are more relaxed, with a fun feeling. They’re definitely not suitable for a serious corporate website.

The set contains all of the icons in 4 different sizes, 32×32, 48×48, 64×64 and 128×128. In addition, there’s a vector file containing all of the icons so that you can easily resize and modify them as needed.

All icons are free to use for both personal and commercial purposes, with attribution required (you can waive the attribution requirement by paying a small fee). Redistribution is not permitted, so if you would like to share these icons with your friends, please direct them to this page so that they can download their own copy from here. Adobe CS4 Icon Replacement: Adouble

Adouble is a set of replacement icons for the Adobe CS4 applications and file extensions designed by me and released recently on Icondock. It includes the icons of the major Adobe applications (i.e. Acobat family, After Effects, Audition, Bridge, ColdFusion, Contribute, Dreamwaver, Encore, Fireworks, Flash family, Flex, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, LifeCycle, OnLocation, Photoshop family, Premiere, SoundBooth and some of the Adobe tools like Updater and Entension Manager). It also includes numbers of icons of the major file formats under Adobe products.

There are 108 icons in total and come available in sizes of 48px, 64px and 128px as 32-bit transparent PNG format. The Adobe application icons are also available in vector format (EPS format). The entire icon set is licensed under Creative Common 3.0 license, can be used in personal or commercial for free with attribution to the author. Super Mono Icons

It’s been a while since my last blog update, but here we are again and this time I have brought you a massive icon set called Super Mono Icons. This initial release version included 1728 icons in various of styles and colours. Basically, the name of the icon set says everything. The icon set includes 9 sub sets in 3 styles: Basic, Reflection and Sticker. Each sub set has 192 icons and all icons are monochrome. I have included 4 different colour gradients (blue, green, red and yellow) for Basic and Reflection styles. Currently all icons are in 48×48 pixels (for Basic style) or 64×64 pixels (for Reflection and Sticker styles) and come as 32-bit transparent PNG file format.

The icons and are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license and can be download for free for personal and commercial use. If you can’t or don’t want to provide a link back, please purchase a royalty-free license which costs £30 (about $50). However, resell and redistribution in the form like integration in themes, applications are not allowed. If you need the icons in your theme or app development, please contact us for extended license.

Moreover, the icons are drawn in vector format, the vector icons will be available for free download soon. Please check our website later or subscribe our RSS feed, you will get the latest update for the icon set. More Social Media Balloons

A couple of weeks ago, we released a set of free icons named social media balloons, and the set got a number of positive feedback and people were asking if there are any more coming in the same style. Here they are, we now have extended the set from original 28 icons into the current version of 64 icons. As with the increased number of popular social networking website, we might have to extend this one again in the future.

The icons come in different sizes (from 32px to 128px) and they are in 32-bit transparent PNG format. The set is free for both personal and commercial use (under Creative Commons Licence, attribution is needed). However, resell is not allowed. If you want to integrate them into a website template which is for sale (e.g. WordPress theme, Social bookmark plugin, etc), you need to purchase an extended license.
